On March 25th, 2023, Barry Donadio released his 4th book consisting of 30 years of research. The newly released book documents the history of the Saltaformaggio family of New York City of which he is a descendent.
This is an investigative report of family history of the Saltaformaggio family that originated from Corleone, Sicily and immigrated to the city of New York in the 1880's.
Ultimately the Saltaformaggio family marry into the DiCarlo, Salta, Garavuso, Laravuso, Cascio and Donadio families. All of these are linked through blood or marriage to Italian families that all settled in New York
Information was compiled through multiple sources that includes word of mouth from credible informants, census documents, birth certificates, death certificates, cross reference historical documents, photos, and other means.

The Governor presented the medal to Donadio on behalf of Representatives in the New York legislature 20 years after he served in the military. The medal commemorates his honorable service in the Armed Forces and the State of New York.
