Fourth Book Released By Barry Donadio | March 25th, 2023

On March 25th, 2023, Barry Donadio released his 4th book consisting of 30 years of research. The newly released book documents the history of the Saltaformaggio family of New York City of which he is a descendent.

This is an investigative report of family history of the Saltaformaggio family that originated from Corleone, Sicily and immigrated to the city of New York in the 1880's.

Ultimately the Saltaformaggio family marry into the DiCarlo, Salta, Garavuso, Laravuso, Cascio and Donadio families. All of these are linked through blood or marriage to Italian families that all settled in New York

Information was compiled through multiple sources that includes word of mouth from credible informants, census documents, birth certificates, death certificates, cross reference historical documents, photos, and other means.

In the cases that information was unknown, a hypothesis was made. Use this information and clues to assist you in completing your family history.

Barry Donadio Awarded Conspicuous Service Star By New York Governor

On May 18th, 2022, Barry Donadio was awarded New York State’s Conspicuous Service Star medal by New York Governor Kathy Hochul. The Governor presented the medal to Donadio on behalf of Representatives in the New York legislature 20 years after he served in the military. The medal commemorates his honorable service in the Armed Forces and the State of New York.

On March 30th, 2022 Barry Donadio was awarded New York State’s Medal For Merit by the Division of Military and Naval Affairs 20 years after he served in the military. The medal commemorates his honorable service in the Armed Forces and the State of New York.

Barry Donadio is a former member of the United States Secret Service and Founder of Public Security LLC a private security and investigative firm that also trains citizens in armed self-defense. Barry Donadio Recognized By The State Of New York For Cold War Service

On April 7th, 2022, Barry Donadio was recognized by the State of New York for his service in the N.Y. Army National Guard during the Cold War. The Adjutant General of the N.Y. Division of Military and Naval Affairs issued a Certificate of Recognition to Donadio 34 years after he joined the Army at the age of 17 .
